What got you into nutrition?
I transitioned during my undergrad from graphic design to fitness management/exercise physiology. I realized after taking a number of nutrition courses that the combination of exercise physiology and nutrition made a lot of sense. Sports nutrition was in its' infancy and I decided to go to graduate school to focus in that area and also received my RD credential at that time.
I realized during college that my mom had always cooked balanced meals and never limited foods, so I was fortunate to be raised without food rules. I was a competitive swimmer until high school and ate to fuel my body without much knowledge of nutrition so I really loved learning about the connection of food and exercise in college.

Professional background: I spent the first 10-12 years of my career in medical settings which I found to be an invaluable experience. I then moved on to work with high-level care eating disorder treatment centers and spent 12 years there helping clients in recovery. From there, I decided to move on and start a new private practice and 'Bloom Health & Wellness' was created. It has been a gift to gather this amazing team and our growth has been so exciting and fulfilling!
